In this episode of Tiny Little Victories, I talked with Darryn Keiller, CEO of WayBeyond. This New Zealand AgTech company is working to transform the agricultural industry to enable sustainable food production worldwide. Darryn founded WayBeyond just six years ago and came out of R & D right as the pandemic started. He tells us how that helped level the playing field for WayBeyond to enter the market and now, three years later, work with some of the largest growers in the world. Darryn addresses the importance of food security, how the pandemic showed a real vulnerability in our food supplies, how consumer consumption drives the types of tomatoes grown (snackable tomatoes), and some exciting stories from tomato growers in Mexico.
